I helped transform the idea of the Vinofy app from being a ‘Yelp for wine’, to being a ‘TikTok for wine’, which integrated AI into the product road map and contributed to accelerated investment.
The Problem
There are plenty of apps to find great wine. There are plenty of social media outlets to share about wine. But how can we scale back the vastness of the social giants into a more curated community of the wine-obsesseed and the wine-curious? Vinofy seeks to make video and social-based content about wine fun and digestible in a world beyond *hashtag* wine.
The Solution
My work was primarily situated around getting a very early start-up an identity that made sense for a rapidly developing UI as we launched an MVP for first-seed. I worked with the User Research team to prototype several variations in wireframes and prototypes that helped articulate concept vision. I then synthesized this with the small, scrappy Vinofy team to develop work-in-progress logos and original illustrations that conveyed the fun, social feel of this exciting new wine app.
